General Knowledge concerning porosity:
Heat is a primary cause of premature tyre failure, and under-inflation is a primary cause of excess heat. Tyre porosity is a major cause of under-inflation.
Porosity occurs as a natural process during the manufacture of a tyre. As yet, it is impossible to manufacture a tyre that is totally airtight.
Tyre pressures need to be checked regularly and re-inflated to recommended tyre pressure. This procedure does not end the problem of under-inflation because a tyre will deflate slowly during use, due to porosity.
OKO Puncture Free will seal a hole caused by a puncturing object that penetrates the tyre tread whilst the wheel is revolving. OKO will block the hole and effect a permanent seal.
